South Korean model-turned-actor Hoyeon received worldwide recognition and critical acclaim following the worldwide popularity of the Netflix original show Squid Game, in which she played Kan Sae-byeok, popularly known by the name of Player 067. Hoyeon won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress and won the Screen Actors Guild Award for the Best Performance by the Female Actor in an Drama Series. Hoyeon was born in Myeonmok-dong in Seoul. She began her modeling career in 2011 when she was the model for a model-on-hire, and walked through Seoul Fashion Week.
